After buying several pairs of wellies from TJ Maxx and MArshalls over the past few years, I decided I hated rainboots. Hot and stuffy and stiff and uncomfortable, every pair I've ever purchased has been uncomfortable and rubbed in a painful way. I needed something to wear during our muddy New Hampshire spring and was convinced by friends who owned Hunters to try them out. I was skeptical but I purchased the adjustable ones since I tend to have larger-than-average calves. When they arrived, I was thrilled to see how much more pliable the rubber was than my previous rain boots. Very comfortable and they fit like a glove. Obviously they are meant for short jaunts, not hikes or athletics of any sort so after wearing them for 3 hours at a soccer game, my feet did ache a little. They were pretty warm but not stifling hot...I think it's pretty much unavoidable when buying a closed rubber shoe.

I would recommend these to anyone looking for a quality shoe for mud and rain. Looking forward to all the fun socks and cuffs to wear when the weather gets colder!

I am a US size 9 and have narrow calves so was really worried that they would be too big. However, I bought the UK 7F(M) and they fit perfectly. I can wear my jeans inside them, with fleecy socks over the top, which is exactly what I wanted. But they also wouldn't be too big if I wanted to just wear them with shorts or a dress out in the summer storms.
I haven't really had them long enough to test out in really bad rainy/snowy weather, but they seem well made and sturdy, so I think they will hold up well.
